Although Vanessa Bruno says she was inspired by dancers for her fall collection, all I could think of as I looked through it was a woman traveling the world in search of adventure. Perhaps a dancer traveling the world? Okay that might be a stretch but it's a nice idea isn't it? My conception of it may be due to the functionality present in many of the pieces: large rain hats, fur-lined boots, the blazers and coats with a strap attached to hang it off your shoulder. At certain points the looks were downright nomadic. Dont' get me wrong, the dancer presence was certainly there, lots of leggings, wraparound jerseys and translucent layers.
The durability of the outerwear was contrasted with light and flowing dresses in feminine shades of peach and heather gray. For the most part, however, the palette consisted of the colors of autumn leaves - dusty pinks, chocolate browns, olive greens, burnt orange, plums and yellows. Perhaps a literal palette for the fall season, but it's really what makes this season so beautiful and special in the first place.

It definitely looks like a world traveler's wardrobe. Easy to mix neutrals and safari/adventure-esque basics.
